President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation appointed Maj.-Gen. Alexander Burutin as his adviser for the military-industrial sector and state defense order issues.
Alexander Burutin was born in 1956 into a serviceman's family. In 1978 graduated from the Moscow higher army-officer school. Commanded different units, also serving with different headquarters. In 1986 graduated from the Frunze military academy with flying colors. In 1997 graduated from the military academy of the Russian Armed Forces' General Staff with flying colors.
Served with the General Staff of Russia's Armed Forces since 1992.
Burutin is married with two sons.
