Moscow comes out for the settlement of the situation in Syria at a bilateral level, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said on Wednesday.
"If anyone wonders whether Syria has weapons of mass destruction or other weapons, there are bilateral diplomatic channels and other sources to consider this issue," Igor Ivanov told journalists on Wednesday, following his meeting with UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
According to the foreign minister, "it is extremely dangerous to aggravate the situation in Syria in view of already complicated developments in the region."
