The volume of gas production in Russia will increase 13 percent to 650bn cubic meters by 2010 and to 750bn cubic meters by 2020, Valery Staroselsky, a representative of the Russian gas monopolist Gazprom, announced at a press conference today. The conference was devoted to investment projects in the fuel and energy sector, the state and outlooks for this sector in the CIS. In 2002, Russia produced 575bn cubic meters of gas, 750m cubic meters more than in 2001. Gazprom's production reached 521bn cubic meters last year.
