Slovakia plans to gain part of Russia's debt by contracts with Russian companies, involved in high technologies manufacturing. This was disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent by Slovakian Ambassador to Russia Igor Furdik with a view to the upcoming visit by Slovakian Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda's to Moscow.
According to the diplomat, Slovakia is particularly interested in joint formation with Russia of Cyclotron Centre and International Laser Centre in Bratislava.
According to Slovakian data, Moscow's debt to Bratislava since the Soviet times is $300 mln. Over $0,5 bln was paid off with goods deliveries.
The Ambassador also pointed to the unbalance in two countries' trade. According to the diplomat, the Russian exports to Slovakia (mostly oil and gas) exceeds its imports by 15 times.
