Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Igor Ivanov stated that there was no evidence of export of military equipment to Iraq by Russian companies. "No evidence confirming violation by Russian companies of the existing resolutions of the UN Security Council exists," the minister stressed when speaking in the upper chamber of the Russian parliament, the Federation Council, on Wednesday.
Touching upon the accusations on the part of the USA against Russian companies, Ivanov noted that "no proofs have been submitted".
Russia carries out economic cooperation with Iraq strictly in accordance with the norms set by the UN Security Council, within the bounds of the regime of sanctions, the minister of foreign affairs of Russia said.
