Russian Permanent Trading Centre Opens in United Arab Emirates

The Permanent Trading Centre of Russia (TTsR) opens in the United Arab Emirates today. It has been set up by a group of Arabian-Russian companies in the Jebel Ali free economic zone, the Dubai emirate. The centre will have an area of 500 sq metres and a demonstration ground. It will be the first Russian exposition not only in the UAE but also in all countries of Southwest Asia.

General director of the TTsR Grigory Fomin pointed out that the Centre would allow Russian companies to demonstrate their products, services and investment projects, and promote Russian goods on the local markets.

The TTsR exposition will show about 200 samples of goods - cranes, machinery equipment, saw-timber, building materials, trucks, hoisting mechanisms and foodstuffs.

The products by the Chelyabinsk tractor building plant, URALTRAK (Urals), will be exhibited on a large scale.

A delegation from the Moscow region arrived in the UAE to take part in the centre's opening ceremony.
