AGRO-2002 Russian exhibition-fair opens in Chelyabinsk (Urals)

The traditional Russian exhibition-fair AGRO-2002 is to open in Chelyabinsk on Wednesday.

The exhibition organising committee informed RIA Novosti - Urals that over 100 enterprises, joint stock companies and farms from different regions of Russia - from Siberia to the country's centre - will take part in the event.

An auction to sell breeding young stock of cattle and pigs, as well as stallions of Russian trotter breed from the Dubrovsky farm stables will be held within the framework of the exhibition.

The exhibition stands will display products of Russian major poultry farms, dairy and bakery plants, enterprises producing agricultural machinery.

Several science and practical conferences will also be held within the framework of the AGRO-2002 exhibition-fair.
