The Federal Security Service (FSB) staffers discovered over 47 kilos of high-quality heroin in one of the apartments of a resident house in Omsk (Western Siberia). The apartment had been used for heroin pre-packing for its further sale.
According to expert assessments, this is the largest batch of narcotic drugs confiscated of late in the territory of Siberia and the Far East. According to preliminary estimates, the batch's cost is USD 1 million.
Heroin was delivered to Omsk from Afghanistan. The narcotic-drug seller, a citizen of Kazakhstan, and organiser of the contraband channel, a citizen of Tajikistan, have been arrested.
