Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a message of greetings to the participants in the campaign - the Korean-Russian Friendship Express-2002. As a RIA Novosti correspondent was told in the press service of the Russian president, the message of greetings reads, in part, that this initiative "is another convincing proof of the dynamically developing dialogue between Russian and Korean public, business and political quarters." According to Vladimir Putin, the participants in the action "share the desire to contribute to the advancement of the most important promising project - to join the Trans-Siberian Railway and the Trans-Korean Railway." The President expressed the hope that "once carried out, this project will open new possibilities for business cooperation and economic integration on the Eurasian continent and will also help strengthen trust, peace and security in the Asia-Pacific region."
