Transnefteprodukt to ask Putin for help

The board of directors of Transnefteprodukt has approved a set of measures aimed at providing uninterrupted functioning of the 'Samara-Stalnoy Kon-Zapad' oil pipeline. Moreover, it was decided to ask Igor Yusufov, chairman of the company, Russian energy minister, to apply to President Putin asking him to interfere in the situation around the property of the Russian enterprise in Belarus.

As it was earlier reported, the Belarusian Supreme Economic Court annulled registration of Zapad-Transnefteprodukt, which is a subsidiary of Transnefteprodukt, and the owner of the oil pipeline.

The Russian company planned to invest some $70m in the reconstruction of the pipeline aiming at increasing its capacity. However due to the conflict the investments have been stopped.
