An official delegation of the Republic of Korea, headed by Ambassador-at-large Li Ja Chung, arrived in the Sverdlovsk region (Ural). Among other members of the delegation are country's former Prime Minister Ro Sin Jong, representatives of the National Assembly, officials of the Korean embassy in Moscow, the press service of the region's governor informed RIA Novosti.
Among 250 delegates are representatives of business circles, science and studentship.
The Siberian Express train is moving down the Vladivostok - St. Petersburg route. The foreign guests have already visited Khabarovsk (the Russian Far East) and the Siberian cities of Irkutsk and Novosibirsk.
The aim of the trip is to see Russia, its economic potential and prospects for regional development.
In Yekaterinburg the Koreans are meeting with the region's authorities and taking part in charitable activities in the Regional clinical psychoneurology veterans hospital.
On Friday morning the Siberian Express will head for Moscow.
