LUKoil is planning to increase its oil product exports by at least 40 percent in 2002 as compared to the figure posted last year, President of LUKoil Vagit Alekperov said to journalists. The President of the Russian oil giant was quoted as saying that the company's oil product exports may reach 15-18 million tons a year. The company's strategy envisages the increasing of its exports by developing the infrastructure of oil product terminals. In particular, LUKoil will create ports capable of handling tankers of over 70,000 tons.
