On Wednesday the express train of Russian-Korean friendship which is making a trip from Vladivostok (the administrative centre of the Maritime Territory) to St. Petersburg (north-west) made its first one-day stop in Khabarovsk, the administrative centre of the Khabarovsk Territory.
As spokesman for the Russian presidential plenipotentiary in the Far East Yevgeny Anoshin said, in Khabarovsk the Korean delegation met with Russian presidential plenipotentiary Konstantin Pulikovsky, made an outing on the Amur and an excursion around the city, and held a Round Table meeting on the problems of development of joint business.
The large-scale public-political action Express Train of Friendship, devoted to the 10th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea, began in Vladivostok on July 14th.
The Korean delegation includes more than 250 students, businessmen, cultural figures, politicians and journalists, as well as First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country Kim Kang Kyung and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Russian Federation Cho Tae Ick.
Alongside Khabarovsk, the Express Train of Russian-Korean Friendship will make long stops in Irkutsk, Novosibirsk (Siberia), Yekaterinburg (Urals), Moscow and St. Petersburg.
