Bashar El-Assah, president of Syria, sent Iraqi president, Saddam Hussein, a letter of greeting, for the 34th year of Baath Party rule in Iraq.
Assad writes in his letter of greeting, that Iraq and Syria will continue to improve their brotherly relations, and fight together for the "just causes" of the Arab World.
Assad seems not to fear how the U.S. will interpret his actions, after it has pretty much announced it will do all in its power to remove Hussein from power.
Assad is at odds with the U.S. regarding the actions of the Hizbollah as well, saying they are a resistance group, and not a terror organization. It should be interesting to see how the Americans view his recent actions.
