The volume of oil production in Russia (including gaseous condensate) amounted to 182m tons in the first half of 2002, which is 8.4% more compared to a similar period of time in 2001, the State Statistics Committee of the Russian Federation reported to RosBusinessConsulting. In June, the volume of oil production went up 7.6% against June 2001 and dropped by 1.5% against May, 2002.
Natural gas production has been reported at the 2.5% rise and reached 302bn cubic meters. In June, it gained 2.1% against June 2001 and lost 9.7% against May 2002. In addition, Russia produced 3.4m tons of liquefied gas in January through June. This is 12% less compared to the first half of 2001.
