The Russian interior ministry will specifically control investigation of all recent cases connected with national and religious extremism, said national policy minister Vladimir Zorin after his Thursday meeting with interior minister Boris Gryzlov to RIA Novosti.
The investigation should be conducted "thoroughly, without hasty conclusions, but punishment should be adequate to the danger posed by national and religious extremism", said the national policy minister.
In recent months Russia has witnessed more frequent attacks of young men, who call themselves "skinheads", at people from the Caucasian republics and foreigners. Also, criminals have set several anti-Semitic placards with explosive devices.
