International arms shows opens in Urals

The RUSSIAN EXPO ARMS-2002 international arms, military equipment and ammunition show was opened on Thursday for free visits. Visitors will see the demonstration of fire and travel characteristics of various military equipment and multiple-launch rocket systems.

According to the show press centre, visitors are very interested in small arms and double-purpose vehicles.

In particular, this refers to the Scorpion assault vehicle, a modification of the UAZ-3151MO vehicle, specially designed for short-term operations deep in the enemy's rear, escort missions of highly valuable cargo and for personnel transportation. The Scorpion is an all-road and off-road vehicle capable of operating at a temperature ranging from -40 to +40 degrees Celsius.
