By Wednesday morning, in the areas that suffered from the flood in the south of Russia, 21% of the damaged houses /9,871 out of 48,068/ and 0,14% of the destroyed houses /16 out of 11,824/ have been reconstructed. This was disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent by the Russian Emergencies Ministry on Wednesday.
99% of the 404km of power transmission lines has been restored, rail way connection have been fully brought back, three bridges and 5,6km of rails have been reconstructed. The flood cut off from the gas supply 193 villages and from the electricity supply - 329 villages. The electricity supply has been already restored in 324 villages /98%/ and the gas supply - in 154 villages /80%/. All in all, 77% of the gas pipes has been restored /298,8km out of 386,2km/. Provision of people with drinking water continues. 59% of the damaged water intakes has been put into operation /23 out of 29/ and 70% of water conduits has been repaired /130km out of 187,5km/.
Over 88,000 people out of 104,000, evacuated during the catastrophe, returned to their places of residence.
In the result of the powerful flood in the south of Russia 104 people died and about 312,000 suffered damages.
