Russia's Prime Minister: Defence Industry Still Works at Quarter Its Capacity

As Russia's Prime Minister, Mikhail Kasyanov said when opening a meeting of the government on June 4, the country's Defence Industry Still Works at Quarter Its Capacity.

According to the government's Department of Information, the minister noted that over 2 million people were employed in defence industry. He emphasised the importance of the issue of reforming the industry.

Also discussed at that meeting were film production and the purposive program of assisting the Republic of Bashkiria in its social and economic development up to the year 2006.
