On Friday Finance Ministry to make another payment to IMF in Russia's debt servicing

On Friday the Russian Finance Ministry will make a regular payment in servicing Russia's debt to the International Monetary Fund.

The RIA Novosti correspondent quotes a ministerial representative as saying that the IMF will get sums in three currencies, totaling 89,856,250 SDR (Special Drawing Rights -- the IMF payment unit).

The previous payment of 14,722,000 dollars and 11,136,000 euros was made on June 27. The total amount of Russia's payment to the IMF this month will constitute about 170 million dollars. In the entire 2002 Russia is to pay 1.5 billion dollars; 700 million dollars was paid in the first half year.

As of January 1, 2002, Russia's debt to the IMF stood at approximately 7.5 billion dollars.
