The head of the Russian Pension Fund, Mikhail Zurabov, has outlined basic principles of Russia's pension reform to foreign welfare experts.
Zurabov's report devoted to the first stage of the Russian pension reform and its prospects opened an international conference, Actuarial Aspects of Pension Reform, in Moscow on Wednesday.
In his interview with RIA Novosti Zurabov pointed out that the reason for holding such forums was "common principles and problems that unite specialists in the social insurance sector of all countries". Among the problems he mentioned was the mixing of state and private social liabilities and the population's aging.
The forum gathered actuaries and statisticians from the International Welfare Association, specialists in the social and pension insurance sector from the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Hungary and the USA.
The participants in the forum are to discuss the following issues: "Pension reform in Russia", "Minimal pension guarantees", "Management system and fixed fees system regulation risks".
The conference is being held under the aegis of the Russian Pension Fund and the International Welfare Association.
