Another Terminal, Runway to Be Added to Moscow's Sheremetievo Airport

According to the statement made at a press conference by Oleg Tolkachyov, a Vice-Mayor of Moscow, the third terminal and a runway will be added to the city's Sheremetievo airport over the following several years.

He added that on Tuesday, June 25, the leading administrators of Moscow and the Moscow Region had met to discuss the founding of a 'special purpose company to engage in converting Sheremetievo-2 into an airport of international class'. Mr. Tolkachyov further said that during their recent visit to Moscow, 'a group of German politicians and entrepreneurs were saying they would willingly engage in developing the airport's infrastructure, its inefficiency getting in the way of business'.
