President Vladimir Putin of Russia has sent a message of greetings to the participants and guests of the summit of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC). RIA Novosti learned this on Tuesday from the press-service of the head of the Russian state.
"Ten years ago the leaders of our states adopted two important documents -- the Istanbul Declaration and the Bosphorus Statement, thereby giving a start to the development of the Black Sea process," says the message.
"Our countries have managed not only to strengthen their friendly ties, but also to achieve real successes in developing trade and economic relations, in preparing and implementing projects in the transport, power and tele-communications sphere," notes the message.
"I am convinced that the Organization's activity will in future, too, be directed to the further consolidation and development of mutually advantageous relations between the participating countries in the interests of the promotion of peace and international stability. I wish the participants and guests of the meeting successful and fruitful work," noted the president.
