Russia's farmland privatisation must be realised in the framework of a single federal law, "under the common rules", said Vladimir Putin at a press conference in the Kremlin. Privatisation cannot be carried out as carelessly as it was before, he stated.
We must introduce a cadastre assessing all Russian farmland in order to know how much land we have, where it is situated and of what quality it is, Putin said. "This requires certain means "in terms of organisation". This work will take quite a long time," the President added.
There must be no fuss and no hurry in this matter, which can do only harm," the President stressed.
Speaking about the draft law "On farmland turnover" which is now being considered by the State Duma, the President called it "very flexible and suitable for the regions up to its implementation".
