Advocates of Alexander Kashin, injured through the fault of former American Consul Douglas Kent, have picketed the US Consulate in Vladivostok. Some 20 young people were carrying slogans "Kashin's disability - US shame", "President Bush, help Alexander Kashin!".
The picket was sanctioned and carried out according to law, officials at the Vladivostok municipal interior department told RIA Novosti.
The demonstrators demanded that the former American Consul to Vladivostok Douglas Kent be brought to book. Through his fault, 23-year-old Alexander Kashin from the Bolshoi Kamen town was made disabled as a result of a car accident on October 27, 1998.
After Kashin's car was rammed by the diplomat's he cannot walk and uses the wheelchair.
