Israeli reserves were called for an immediate appearance for the Israeli army in response to recent terror against Israel.
Israeli minister of security, Binyamin Ben Eliezer said he permitted this call for reserves in order to enter terrorist bases and destroy them. "In recent days, over 70 Israelis were murdered by terror. We're calling reserves in order to do anything it takes to restore some security."
Head of the Palestinian Authority has called for a cease of terror against civilians, but has refused to call for a stop of attacks against military targets. Israeli officials have said they feel Arafat knows he might be expelled soon, and that is why he is calling for a partial halt in terror. Ben Eliezer added: "You don't know how much terror we stop. Over 85% of the potential suicide bombers are stopped before action. Our army and security forces do a formidable job. We won't give up to terror."
