'The issue of Russia's entry into the World Trade Organisation is currently in the final stages of discussion', says General Director of the WTO, Mike Mur. He spoke of this on Wednesday, June19, during his speech at the sixth St. Petersburg Economic Forum.
'The question of bringing Russia into the WTO is currently an object of discussion, and in the process of this discussion we have made great progress'. He said that in order to speed up the discussions on the inclusion of Russia in the WTO, it's necessary to improve the Russian legal system, in particular federal land law, and also to resolve the question of licensing.
'The whole Russian economy requires a defined relationship with the WTO' says Mur.
