Farooq Abdullah, the head of the regional government of Kashmir, has survived a terrorist attack in Srinagar, the latest in a series of Islamic terrorist actions in the disputed territory.
Two Islamic terrorists launched two grenades towards the building which Farooq Abdullah was inaugurating. One made contact with a wall, and bounced off without exploding, while the other exploded 200 metres away down a well. Nobody was injured in the attack.
A hitherto-unknown group, the medina Regiment, has claimed responsibility for the attack.
