After the match. Russian fans are desperate

The crowd of football fans that was watching the game between Russia and Belgium on the big screen on the Manezhnaya Square, moved along Tverskaya Street in the center of Moscow after the Russian squad lost the game.

NTV reported that all parked cars were removed from the parking territory of Moskva Hotel, ten police buses arrived in the event that there could be a street mess. When the crowd came up to Pushkinskaya metro station, guys were getting more and more aggressive. Some of them (15-20 people) started breaking lamps in the metro, going down on the moving stairway. On the whole, there has not been anything serious registered in Moscow today, over ten thousand police officers were on high alert to prevent from any incidents. The Belgian embassy in Moscow was working in its usual way, security was increased at Belgian restaurants.

The press-service of the Russian Home Ministry reported, 62 fans had been detained in the center of Moscow during and after the airing of the football match. This happened due to insignificant incidents of hooliganism, and more than a half of those detained guys were under age kids. As it was stated at the central home affairs department of Moscow, a part of them was involved in the pogrom of June 9. Several police officers were filming the crowd, when the game was being broadcast to identify those people that took part in the mess of June 9. Three young men were detained at Poklonnaya Gora in Moscow: one of them lit an army gas pot, trying to celebrate the first goal that was scored by Russian player Vladimir Beschatstnikh. It’s all over now, the only thing that remains is tons of cigarette butts, plastic bottles, and huge monitors, which nobody needs anymore.
