YUKOS to start oil exports to USA in several weeks
YUKOS plans to export more than 200,000 tons of oil to the USA in late June to earlier July, 2002, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, president of the company, declared at a press conference today. He was quoted as saying that this initial supply of oil to the USA would help the company develop the technology of oil supplies through different oil-loading terminals. He also pointed out that in the future Russia would be able to export 1m barrels of oil per day to the United States.
