Six largest Belarus oil and gas companies to go public
Six largest oil and gas companies of Belarus will go public before August 1, 2002: Haftan, Azot (Grodno), Azot (Bobruysk), Khimvolokno (Svetlogorsk), Khimvolokno (Grodno), Khimvolokno (Mogilyov), according to the government of Belarus. The privatization of these companies is expected to take place before 2003, while the shares of the companies will be sold in 10 percent lots. According to the government of the republic, this privatization scheme will enable the government to attract larger amount of funds.
