The third mission of the Canadian Business Association in Russia has arrived in St. Petersburg, the Centre of International Cooperation told RIA Novosti.
The two-day meeting between Russian and Canadian businessmen is organised by the General Consulate of Canada, the Canadian Business Association in Russia, the St. Petersburg International Business Links Association, the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the US Chamber of Commerce in St. Petersburg.
The goal of the mission is to provide for a dialogue, aimed at the establishment of business links between Canada and Russia's North-West. Fifteen Canadian companies expressed their wish to join the mission.
The first day of the mission's work will be devoted to the economic potential of the North-Western region.
The members of the mission will meet the vice-governors of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, involved in economic development, and Novgorod governor Mikhail Prusak.
