Tatiana Ederyuk, the director of a commercial firm based in Vladivostok, the administrative center of the Far Eastern territory of Primorye, was gunned down at the entrance to her house on Wednesday.
According to the press center of the Primorye Territorial Interior Office, the businesswoman was shot in the head when returning home. Searching the site of the murder, police found a cartridge-case from a 9 mm bullet.
In August of 2000, an unidentified attacker murdered Tatiana's husband, Alexander Zderyuk, also an entrepreneur and an ex-Federal Security Service officer who had retired to set up a private commercial firm. The murder was staged in his office.
After Alexander's murder, law enforcers opened a criminal case into alienation and sale of municipal property at dumping prices. Among the suspects are 7 high-ranking officials from the Vladivostok administration, including Deputy Mayor Valentin Nechayev, who once was Alexander Zderyuk's boss.
