One person was killed and 17 wounded by a hurricane that struck the Belovsky and Leninsk-Kuznetsky districts of Southern Siberia's Kemerovo region on the night of May 30th.
According to the local law enforcing authorities, four of the hurricane victims were rushed to hospital.
The hurricane has damaged roofs and shattered windows in 82 buildings, overturned five power transmission lines' pylons, and de-energized the substation Zarechenskaya, which feeds 3 mines.
A special commission was set up to deal with clean-up operations after the calamity.
