Leaders of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) have recommended to the forthcoming plenary session of the KPRF Central Committee (CC) to expel Gennady Seleznev from the party, if he confirms his decision to retain the post of the State Duma speaker. A source in the KPRF faction apparatus in the lower parliamentary house informed RIA Novosti of this Thursday.
According to the source, such a decision was made today at the conference between KPRF top leaders and Gennady Zyuganov.
It is also proposed to expel from the party along with Seleznev Svetlana Goryacheva and Nikolai Gubenko for their decision to retain the posts of chairpersons of parliamentary committees regardless of the recommendations of the plenary session of KPRF CC of April 10, 2002 to leave these posts.
The plenary session of KPRF CC will be held Saturday, May 25.
