According to the international accounting standards, the estimated volume of Aeroflot's net profit was about $20m in 2001, which is twice as much as it was in 2000, Alexander Zurabov, deputy general director of the company, said in an interview with RBC. Aeroflot's net profit was 1.315bn rubles ($42.28m) in 2001, according to the Russian accounting standards. Earlier Valery Okulov, general director of the company, declared that Aeroflot's net profit would be 3bn rubles ($96m) in 2002. The authorized capital of the company is 1.1bn rubles ($35.5m). The state has a 51.17 percent stake in Aeroflot.
