An international conference "Vocational education for people with limited health abilities. Problems and prospects" opened at the Novosibirsk State Technical University on Wednesday. Representatives from the regional and local administrations and leaders of specialized education and rehabilitation centers from Moscow, Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk, Gorno-Altaysk and other cities are taking part in the event. Jacque Sagot, professor at the French National Education ministry and member of the European Tempus program, will make a report as an expert on the problem. The participants in the conference will discuss issues concerning the patterns of vocational education for the disabled, medical, psychological and pedagogical assistance for them, as well as their preparation for entering colleges and universities. The major sections will be held on Thursday, May 16th, at the Social Rehabilitation Institute. Afterwards specialized classes for invalids and main projects in the sphere will be presented.
