Occidental Recieved The Former Enron Share Of "Dolphin"

The Emirates have decided to give 24.5 percent in the gas project "Dolphin" to the American Occidental Petroleum company. This share previously belonged to Enron. Control package Dolphin Energy Group/DEL/- is fifty one percent owned by the Offsets Group. 24.5 percent is controlled by TotalFinaElf. The project provides extraction of natural gas on Katar Northern deposit in the Persian gulf which is a continuation of the Iranian deposit in the Southern Pars, transportation to Laffan in Qatar processing factory, and delivery of twenty billion cubic metres of gas per year to underwater pipelines in Abu Dabi and Dubai. The opportunity of connection of this pipeline system with Pakistan and India has been considered for the long term.
