The Slovak government delayed until next week a discussion on whether to approve bids by Germany's E.ON and RWE and Electricite de France for stakes and management control in Slovakia's three regional distributors. The Privatization Ministry's committee recommended that the government accept E.ON's bid for forty nine percent of ZSE, which sells power in Western Slovakia; EdF's bid for a the same stake in SSE, which operates in the central part of the country; and RWE's bid for the stake in eastern Slovakia-based VSE. The government was scheduled to discuss the bids, amounts of which were not disclosed, today. The discussion was delayed until Wednesday after one of the coalition parties had said its ministers needed more time to study the tender documents, the government's press office said.
