Gas Inflows In Canada

Devon Energy And Petro-Canada have declared significant inflows of gas to chink Tuk M-18, drilled twenty four kilometres to the south of Taktoyaktuk in the delta of the Makkenzi river (Northern Territories). The chink, worked out on depth hardly more than 3000 metres, is completed in sandstones of cretaceous age (retinue Kamik). Inflows of gas of 0.85 million cubic metres per day are recovered. Stocks of opening are estimated in 5.7-8.5 billion cubic metres; extraction can achieve a level of 1.7-2.3 million cubic metres per day. Earlier partners have already drilled three unsuccessful chinks (Kurk M-15, Tuk B-02, and Kugpik L-46) in this area, from which only Tuk B-02 occurs to be rich in hydrocarbons.
