Landslide advances on houses of mountaineers

A landslide threatens 20 houses in the Siva region of Dagestan (North Caucasus). According to the information provided on Sunday morning by the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, yesterday landslide processes in the vicinity of the Kuligi settlement in Dagestan became more active. The landslide occupying the area of 1,300 metres is moving towards this settlement at the speed of 3-4 metres per hour. Twenty residential buildings stand in its way. People are evacuated from them. Special commission which arrived to the site is looking for ways to resolve the emerging problem.
