“Magomedali Magomedov, who is the chairman of the Council of state of the republic of Dagestan, does not at all need the elections, because the people are tired of that bandit policy that he has been running. The people will not support him. Dagestan is taking one of leading positions among the republics of the Northern Caucasus, when it comes to unsolved criminal cases, especially assassinations. My son’s case is one of them – he was killed in captivity in 1998. All those criminal threads lead directly to Magomedali Magomedov. I would also like to point out that his family and himself own all natural resources, like crude, or caviar of Dagestan. So, Magomedali Magomedov could introduce a state of emergency in the republic, using the explosion in Kaspiisk, and cancel the elections, which were about to take place.
That is why I think that he is guilty of all that has happened. I can also add that the commander of Chechen gunmen, Khattab, has been unable to show any influence on Dagestan, as a republic of the Northern Caucasus. The information, which says that his wife is a Dagestan national, is also wrong. By the way, Russian special services reported about Khattab’s death only two weeks after he had been killed. This fact proves that Khattab could not affect Dagestan, when he was alive. The tragedy that happened on May 9th in Dagestan’s city of Kaspiisk is a personal tragedy for me: the bomb killed my neighbors’ son-in-law there."
