Moscow Government Establishes Days Of Historical And Cultural Heritage
The Moscow government has established two new significant dates, a Day of Moscow's Historical Heritage which coincides with the International Monument Preservation Day marked on April 18, and the Day of Moscow's Cultural Heritage, coinciding with the International Museum Day marked on May 18. The objective is to attract more sightseers to the city's cultural values and to popularize Moscow's 3,000 historical and cultural monuments, all of which are protected by the state.
