There Are About 5 Billion Tons Of Oil In The Depths Of Bashkiria
In Bashkiria (federal republic near the Urals) under the Ural mountains there are at least 4-5 billion tons of oil, said Ufa scientist, academician-secretary of the department of earth sciences of the Bashkir Academy of Sciences Murat Kamaletdinov. In his words, the oil reserves have been established as a result of many-year studies, as well as boring up to 5,000 m-deep holes. Now the Ural mountains have been put on the list of Russia's priority territories with regard to oil prospecting.
