Assertions by a commander of what is called the National Liberation Army, calling himself Sokoli, that Albanians have 18,000 fighters in Macedonia is a mere propaganda trick, the RIA Novosti correspondent quotes Macedonian Interior Minister Dosta Dimovska as saying in Skoplje. In the figures of the police, small groups of Albanian terrorists operate in the Albanian-populated north and west of Macedonia. Their strength is "incomparably" less than what the Albanian militants' leader claims, said the interior minister. Dosta Dimovska believes that well-trained and -armed groups of Albanian militants arrive to Macedonia from Kosovo, where they return to after committing acts of terrorism. The first results of investigation into the assassination of eight Macedonian servicemen near Tetovo on Saturday have shown that the attack was made by a group of 25-30 extremists, who crossed the Kosovo-Macedonia border via a mountain peak, said the minister. After committing a crime they returned to where they came from. One day before attacking the Macedonian servicemen, commander Sokoli told journalists that National Liberation Army would begin actions in the entire Macedonian territory seeking attainment of their end -- "the life goal of every Albanian -- creation of own state".
