PricewaterhouseCoopers was appointed as an independent auditor of bookkeeping balance of RAO Unified Energy Systems of Russia in accordance with Russian and international standards in 2001. This decision was made at an annual meeting of shareholders of the energy giant today. In 2000, the audit company won in a tender for auditing RAO UES. The holding paid 2.7m rubles (about $93,700) for its services in 2000, and will pay not less than that in 2001.
