The foreign trade turnover of Russia amounted to $11.5bn in March 2001, which is 0.3 per cent more than in March 2000 and 1.7 per cent more as compared to February 2001, the Russian State Statistics Committee reported. In particular, Russia exported goods worth $8bn, which is 1 per cent lower as compared to the corresponding period last year and 2.5 per cent lower than last month. At the same time, the volume of imports to Russia reached $3.5bn in March 2001. Thus, the volume of imports went up 3.3 per cent as compared last month and 13 per cent as compared to January 2001.
