The volume of industrial production reached 482bn rubles ($16.68bn) in March 2001 in Russia, which is 3.6 per cent more as compared to the corresponding period last year, the State Statistics Committee reported. In particular, agricultural companies produced goods for 49.1bn rubles (about $1.69bn), or 0.5 per cent more in March 2000. According to estimates of the committee, the volume of investments in the capital assets of Russian enterprises amounted to 91.5bn rubles ($3.17bn), or 5 per cent more than in March last year and 9.4 per cent more than in February 2000.
