Moscow police extradite about 4,000 foreign citizens from the Russian capital a year, Vladimir Ivanov, head of the visa and registration office of the Moscow main interior department, reported in an interview with RosBusinessConsulting. He mentioned that about 800 of these foreigners are extradited under escort. They are mostly citizens of China and Vietnam, and their extradition costs about $400 per person. According to data from the migration service, there are about 40,000 foreigners who are living and working illegally in the capital of Russia. Most of them are traders at open-air markets. Ivanov stressed that the number of foreigners coming to Moscow is increasing annually, however, police are managing to maintain a low criminal rate among them - foreigners commit about 400 crimes a year in Moscow.
