The World Bank will give a loan worth $600m to Russia in the 2002 fiscal year, the Director of the Bank in Russia reported to RosBusinessConsulting. According to him, the Bank will finance six or seven projects in the 2002 fiscal year which will begin on July 1, 2001 and end in June 30, 2002.
The official was quoted as saying that these projects are being elaborated on. Among them are: a project of the Federal Treasury worth $200m, a 120m-dollar regional financial project, a 150m-dollar program aimed against the expansion of AIDS and tuberculosis, etc. The total volume of financing the projects will be less next year compared to the 2001 fiscal year, the official emphasized.
